Fisk, Volper and Shackley were a trio of inventors and adventurers who turned to crime for the thrill and the money to fund their research.

The Terrible Trio is a close knit team of criminals that never work alone. They consist of The Fox who commits land based crimes, The Vulture who commits air based crimes and The Shark who commits sea based crimes. Long time enemies of Batman and Robin, they've clashed numerous times the most recent was their attempt to establish a smuggling empire in Gotham by land, sea and air.
